Vidcloud: the latest TV series episodes and cinema movies, from The Rookie and Slow Horses to Superman
In March 2020 the Vidcloud home page read like a television schedule. Under a slate menu of Movies, TV Series, Cinema Movies and Featured Series, a heading with a small red play circle announced Recently Added Episodes, and a grid of posters listed the newest instalments of dozens of shows, each captioned with its season, its episode and the hours since it had arrived. Vidcloud keeps that episode-first design and turns it into a guide: every series has its seasons and episodes, every new cinema film has its page, and every title has a Watch now button that opens it on the official services in your country.
The Vidcloud design
This Vidcloud is rebuilt from the archived March 2020 capture of vidcloud9.com, and its measurements come from that page's style sheet. The header is white, with the logo in a cell edged by a thin grey line and a huge borderless search field beside it. The menu bar is a cool slate grey with bold white capitals. Section headings are set in a light grey after a small red circle with a white play triangle, and the posters sit six to a row with bold black captions and small grey dates. At the bottom, a near-black footer holds columns of widgets with white capital headings, grey links and dark tag chips. The red of the original, a bright tomato shade, marks buttons, active pages and hover states.
It is a practical design built for returning visitors: open the home page, see what aired since your last visit, and jump straight to the right season.
The header and search
The header is divided into cells, as it was in 2020. On the left, the Vidcloud logo, a red cloud with a white play triangle and the name in slate and red, sits in its own cell behind a thin grey border. The rest of the header is one enormous search field, eighty pixels tall, with a grey magnifying glass and the words "Search here..." in light grey. Start typing, and matching titles appear; press Enter for the full search page with filters for type, genre, year and score. The search reads titles, cast and creators: type Gary Oldman and Slow Horses appears, type Noah Wyle and The Pitt appears, and type Alan Ritchson and Reacher appears.
Recently Added Episodes
The heart of the home page is the Recently Added Episodes grid: twenty-four cards, newest first, drawn from the air dates of every series in the catalogue, with at most two episodes per show so that a series released all at once leaves room for the others. Each card shows the series poster and a bold caption in the 2020 style, such as "Slow Horses - Season 6 Episode 2 - Daddy Issues", followed by a grey line with the air date. Point at a card, and the poster dims while a red play circle appears in its centre. A click opens the season page, where the episode sits in its list with its summary.
Cinema Movies and Featured Series
Two more grids follow the episodes. Cinema Movies shows twelve of the most popular films released since 2024, from Avatar: Fire and Ash and Superman to Zootopia 2 and Project Hail Mary, each captioned with its title and year. Featured Series shows twelve of the best-rated series with the largest audiences, such as Breaking Bad, Stranger Things and The Walking Dead, each captioned with its number of seasons. Each grid has a red View more link to the full list, and a block of help guides closes the home page before this article.
A series page
Every series has a page with its poster, title, first air year, status, genres and story. The red Watch now button and the slate Add to My List button sit beneath the story, and the viewing panel below lets you choose your country before opening JustWatch. A grid of facts shows the first air date, the original language, the country, the number of seasons and the network or studio. Then comes the list of seasons, each with its episode count and year, and the cast. Films have the same layout, with the running time and release date in place of the seasons.
Season pages
Each season has its own page, and this is where Vidcloud's episode focus pays off. Every episode is listed with its number, its title, its first air date and a short summary, and a mark button lets you record the episode you reached. The next time you open the series, My List shows exactly where you stopped. For long-running shows like Chicago Fire, Blue Bloods and NCIS: Los Angeles, each with more than a dozen seasons, this makes it easy to pick up where you left off. The episodes and seasons guide explains the details.
Series: the procedurals
Procedurals, the case-of-the-week dramas, make up a large part of the TV Series list, and they suit an evening episode perfectly. Dick Wolf's Chicago shows share a city and frequent crossovers: Chicago Fire follows Firehouse 51, Chicago P.D. the Intelligence Unit and Chicago Med the doctors of Gaffney Medical Center. FBI follows agents in New York, Blue Bloods follows a family of New York police officers across fourteen seasons of Sunday dinners, and NCIS: Los Angeles and Hawaii Five-0 bring sunshine to their investigations.
First responders have their own shelf. 9-1-1 follows Los Angeles dispatchers, firefighters and police through spectacular emergencies, Station 19 follows a Seattle fire station, and The Rookie follows a man who joins the police in his forties. S.W.A.T., SEAL Team and The Last Ship bring tactical action, and Lioness follows a CIA programme that places women undercover close to their targets. The crime and police series guide has more.
Series: sleuths and consultants
Some procedurals pair the police with an unusual partner. The Mentalist follows a former fake psychic who uses his powers of observation to catch killers, Castle pairs a crime novelist with a New York detective, Elementary moves Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson to modern New York, and White Collar partners an FBI agent with a charming con artist. The Blacklist pairs the Bureau with a master criminal, Blindspot begins with a woman covered in tattoos that hold clues, Scorpion recruits a team of geniuses, and MacGyver solves problems with whatever is at hand. Person of Interest adds a surveillance machine that predicts crimes before they happen.
Series: hospitals and emergency rooms
Medical dramas are a comfort genre for many viewers. The Pitt follows a single shift in a Pittsburgh emergency department across a season, hour by hour, and won wide praise for its realism. The Good Doctor follows a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome at a San Jose hospital, The Resident looks at the business side of an Atlanta teaching hospital, and Chicago Med ties into the Chicago shows. Station 19 shares its world with a famous Seattle hospital drama, and its crossovers are marked on each season page.
Series: British crime and intrigue
British series bring a different rhythm. Slow Horses follows a department of disgraced MI5 agents led by Gary Oldman's gloriously scruffy Jackson Lamb, Peaky Blinders follows the Shelby family through Birmingham's underworld after the First World War, and The Gentlemen spins Guy Ritchie's film into a series about an aristocrat who inherits a cannabis empire hidden on his estate. MobLand pairs Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan in a London gangland war, and The Crown follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth II over six seasons of lavish drama.
Series: prestige drama
Some series are best enjoyed slowly, from beginning to end. Breaking Bad follows a chemistry teacher's descent into the drug trade and is often named one of the greatest series ever made, and Better Call Saul tells the rise of its most colourful lawyer. The Americans follows Soviet spies living as a suburban couple near Washington, For All Mankind imagines a space race that carried on for decades, Homeland tracks a CIA officer through years of intrigue, and Fargo tells a new crime story in the snowy Midwest each season. Yellowstone follows the Dutton ranch, Sons of Anarchy a California motorcycle club, Vikings the saga of Ragnar Lothbrok, and This Is Us the Pearson family across the decades. The Chosen retells the Gospels through the eyes of the people who met Jesus.
Series: superheroes
The superhero shelf is full of long-running favourites. The Arrowverse begins with Arrow, Oliver Queen's return to Starling City, and grows through The Flash, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Superman & Lois, with yearly crossovers that tie them together. Gotham tells the story of James Gordon before Batman, and Young Justice follows the teenage sidekicks of the Justice League in animation. Marvel answers with Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Loki and Marvel's The Punisher. The superhero and sci-fi series guide suggests an order.
Series: science fiction and fantasy
Science fiction runs deep in the catalogue. The Expanse builds a realistic future in which Earth, Mars and the Belt edge towards war, The Mandalorian follows a lone bounty hunter and his tiny green companion across the Star Wars galaxy, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars fills in the years between the prequel films. Star Trek: Discovery and The Orville explore the stars in different moods, Fringe investigates the strange and the unexplained, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power returns to Middle-earth thousands of years before Frodo. Closer to home, Silo, FROM, Stranger Things and The 100 are gripping mysteries of survival, and The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead follow survivors through the zombie apocalypse.
Series: supernatural and teen drama
Supernatural stories have a loyal following. The Vampire Diaries and its spin-off The Originals follow vampires, witches and werewolves in the town of Mystic Falls and the city of New Orleans, Teen Wolf follows a high-school student bitten by a werewolf, and Grimm gives a Portland detective the power to see the creatures of old fairy tales. Lucifer makes the devil a Los Angeles nightclub owner who helps the police, and Once Upon a Time brings fairy-tale characters into a small town in Maine. Pretty Little Liars follows four friends and an anonymous tormentor, and Outer Banks sends a group of teenagers after a legendary treasure on the North Carolina coast.
Series: comedy
For half-hour laughs, the comedy shelf has something for every taste. Modern Family follows three branches of one big family in mock-documentary style, Parks and Recreation follows an endlessly optimistic local official, Community follows a study group at a community college, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a precinct of lovable detectives. New Girl shares a Los Angeles loft among friends, Glee fills a high school with song, and Jane the Virgin turns the telenovela into a warm, playful comedy. Ted Lasso and Young Sheldon round out a cheerful list.
Series: animation
The animated series are among the most inventive in the catalogue. Adventure Time follows Finn and Jake through the Land of Ooo, Regular Show follows two park workers whose chores turn into surreal adventures, and Steven Universe follows a boy raised by three magical Crystal Gems, with music woven through its story. Young Justice and Star Wars: The Clone Wars bring action for older children and adults alike. Live-action fans of animation will also find Avatar: The Last Airbender, a retelling of the beloved series about the last Airbender.
Returning and complete series
Vidcloud separates series into two useful categories. Returning series are still in production, with new seasons on the way, such as The Rookie, Slow Horses, Silo, FROM, The Pitt and The Chosen; these are the shows whose episodes appear most often in the Recently Added grid. Complete series have finished their stories and can be watched from the first episode to the last, such as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Stranger Things, The Americans, Parks and Recreation and The Expanse. Both lists are in the footer's category chips and in the collections page.
Featured series
The Featured Series category gathers the series scored 8.2 or more out of 10 by at least a thousand viewers, a list of modern favourites. Alongside Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Rookie, The Chosen and Stranger Things, it includes The Good Doctor, Peaky Blinders, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Originals, The Mandalorian and Adventure Time. Open Featured series for the complete list, sorted by score or popularity.
Cinema movies: 2026
The Cinema Movies menu of 2020 highlighted films fresh from the big screen, and Vidcloud keeps that shelf up to date. 2026 has already brought Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, an epic retelling of Homer's voyage home from Troy; Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the next chapter for Tom Holland's hero; and Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day. Project Hail Mary sends Ryan Gosling alone into deep space to save the Sun, Michael tells the story of Michael Jackson, and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie takes Mario and friends to the stars. Horror fans have Lee Cronin's The Mummy and Backrooms, action fans Mortal Kombat II and War Machine.
Cinema movies: 2024 and 2025
The previous two years were just as busy. Avatar: Fire and Ash returns to Pandora, Superman restarts the story of the Man of Steel, and The Fantastic 4: First Steps and Thunderbolts* expand the Marvel universe alongside Captain America: Brave New World. Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning closes Ethan Hunt's long mission, Jurassic World Rebirth and Predator: Badlands revive two classic creature franchises, and F1 puts Brad Pitt behind the wheel of a Formula One car. Sinners and Weapons were two of the most discussed horror films in years, One Battle After Another won broad acclaim, and 28 Years Later returned to Danny Boyle's infected Britain.
Families had Zootopia 2, Moana 2, Inside Out 2, Despicable Me 4, Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and A Minecraft Movie, the live-action How to Train Your Dragon, and KPop Demon Hunters, an animated musical adventure that became a worldwide phenomenon. The cinema movies guide has more ideas.
Movies from recent years
The Movies list also keeps the films people still talk about from recent years. Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame closed a decade of Marvel storytelling, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse reinvented animation, and Dune and Dune: Part Two brought Frank Herbert's novel to the screen at last. Oppenheimer and Everything Everywhere All at Once each won seven Academy Awards, Top Gun: Maverick became a worldwide hit, and Knives Out, Joker and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood remain favourites for a movie night.
Action movies
The Action movies category keeps the adrenaline high. John Wick: Chapter 4 and its spin-off Ballerina bring elaborate fight choreography, Fast X and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw keep the engines roaring, Wrath of Man and The Beekeeper give Jason Statham two tough revenge stories, and The Gorge sets two snipers on either side of a mysterious chasm. Red One adds a festive action comedy, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes continues a long-running saga generations later.
How Watch now works
Watch now connects Vidcloud to the services that hold each title. On a series or film page, choose your country in the viewing panel, from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Ireland to India, the Philippines, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Brazil, and press the red Watch now button. Vidcloud opens the title on JustWatch, an independent guide that lists every official service offering it in that country, by subscription, rental, purchase or free with adverts. Choose one, and the series or film opens in that service's app or website. Vidcloud remembers your country for next time, and the how to watch guide walks through each step.
Where the series stream
Series move between services more often than films, which is exactly why the country selector matters. In the United States, network series such as Chicago Fire and FBI stream on Peacock and Paramount+ the day after broadcast, Hulu carries many ABC and FX series, including The Rookie and 9-1-1, Netflix holds large libraries and its own hits like Stranger Things and Outer Banks, Prime Video has Reacher and The Expanse, and Apple TV has Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Silo and For All Mankind. Disney+ holds The Mandalorian, Loki and the Marvel and Star Wars shelves, and Max has The Pitt. In Britain, the public broadcasters, BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Channel 4, carry many series free. The services page gives an overview.
Phones, TVs and consoles
Vidcloud works in every browser, and adding it to your phone's home screen makes it open like an app. The series and films play in each service's official app, installed from Google Play, the App Store or your television's store. Fire TV, Google TV, Apple TV, Roku, PlayStation, Xbox and nearly every smart TV run those apps, and Chromecast or AirPlay send the picture from your phone to the big screen. The apps and devices page covers each option.
HD, 4K and bandwidth
Most recent series stream in HD, and many, including The Mandalorian, Stranger Things, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Slow Horses, are available in 4K with HDR on premium plans. Cinema releases such as Avatar: Fire and Ash and Dune: Part Two often add Dolby Atmos sound. Plan on about 5 Mbps for steady HD and 15 to 25 Mbps for 4K. On mobile data, a lighter quality setting keeps playback smooth, and most services let you download episodes over Wi-Fi for a journey.
Audio and subtitles
Most series and films offer the original English track and several dubbed languages, and subtitles in many more, chosen from the language menu in the player. Captions for the deaf and hard of hearing describe music and sounds, and most apps let you resize subtitles and add a background. British series with strong regional accents, such as Peaky Blinders or MobLand, are a good place to try English subtitles even for native speakers. The audio, subtitles and quality guide has the settings for each device.
Free, legal options
A good share of television can be watched legally at zero cost. Tubi, Pluto TV and the Roku Channel stream series and films with adverts in many countries, and public broadcasters, from BBC iPlayer in Britain to national broadcasters across Europe, stream many series free in their own countries. On each title page, the Watch now panel lists free options beside the paid ones for your country. The free series and movies page lists the main services.
My List
My List is the Vidcloud watchlist. Press Add to My List on any series or film page, and the title is saved in this browser, visible to you alone. On a season page, mark the episode you reached, and My List shows your place in every series you follow, which is invaluable for shows with hundreds of episodes such as Blue Bloods, Chicago P.D. or NCIS: Los Angeles. Export writes your list to a small file, and Import restores it on another device. The My List page explains each button.
Finding a title
There are several quick routes through the catalogue. The Search here field in the header matches titles, cast and creators as you type. The slate menu jumps to Movies, TV Series, Cinema Movies and Featured Series. The category chips in the footer open every collection, from Crime and police series to Horror and thriller. And the A-Z index lists every title by its first letter. The finding a title guide brings these routes together.
Planning a binge
Series need more planning than films, and the season counts on each page help. A single season of The Pitt covers one long hospital shift in fifteen episodes; Slow Horses seasons are six tight episodes each; Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul are complete stories best watched in order over a few weeks. Procedurals like The Mentalist, Castle and 9-1-1 can be dipped into at almost any episode, since most cases are solved within the hour. For a huge universe, the Chicago shows and the Arrowverse reward watching their crossover episodes in order, and each season page makes the order clear.
Weekly or all at once
Streaming series arrive in two main ways. Some, such as Stranger Things or Outer Banks, release a whole season on one day, perfect for a weekend binge. Others, such as Slow Horses, The Pitt and the network procedurals, release one episode each week, and the Recently Added Episodes grid on the home page is designed for exactly that rhythm: open Vidcloud once a week and see which shows have a new episode waiting.
Choosing what to watch
With nearly ninety series and seventy films, a few questions narrow the choice. How much time do you have? A film fills an evening, a procedural episode fits into forty minutes, and a prestige drama deserves a few weeks. What mood are you in? The categories, from comedy series to horror and thriller, sort the catalogue by feeling. And how did audiences react? The score on each page, with the number of ratings behind it, shows how widely a title was enjoyed.
Ideas for an evening
For a British crime night, try an episode of Slow Horses followed by MobLand. For a space evening, Project Hail Mary or an episode of The Expanse. For the family, Zootopia 2, KPop Demon Hunters or How to Train Your Dragon. For a scare, Weapons or Sinners. For a laugh, a run of Parks and Recreation or Brooklyn Nine-Nine episodes, and for a big spectacle, Avatar: Fire and Ash or The Odyssey on the largest screen you have.
Top rated
The Top rated category lists the films and series scored 8 or more out of 10 by at least fifteen hundred viewers. On the film side, it includes Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Wild Robot, Top Gun: Maverick, Joker and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. On the series side, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Rookie, Chicago Fire, Peaky Blinders, The Mandalorian and Regular Show all appear. Open Top rated for the full list.
New releases
New releases gathers the films and series from 2025 onward. Among the films are Superman, F1, Sinners, Zootopia 2, The Odyssey and Project Hail Mary; among the series, The Pitt and MobLand, two of the most talked-about new dramas. The New releases page is the quickest way to see what arrived recently, and the Recently Added Episodes grid covers the latest instalments of returning shows.
Recognising Vidcloud
Vidcloud is easy to recognise: a white header with the red cloud logo and a very wide Search here field, a slate menu bar of bold white capitals, headings in light grey after a small red play circle, six-across grids of posters with bold black captions and grey dates, and a near-black footer with widget columns and dark tag chips. Bookmark the home page and add it to your phone's home screen. The official site page describes these details, and the site status page helps if a page loads slowly.
Safe streaming
A few habits keep viewing safe. Install streaming apps only from Google Play, the App Store or your television's store, keep your devices updated, and give each service its own strong password with two-step sign-in switched on. Before you pay or sign in, check that the address bar shows the service's real name. Vidcloud sends you to JustWatch, and JustWatch sends you to the official services, so every step stays on trusted ground. The streaming safely page has a short checklist.
Privacy
Vidcloud keeps your data in your own browser. My List, your episode marks and your chosen country stay on your device, ready to clear at any time or move with Export and Import. Posters, stories, cast and episode details come from TMDB, and the viewing options come from JustWatch.
How the catalogue is chosen
The catalogue follows the 2020 menu, series first. The TV series are the English-language shows with the largest audiences since 2008, each with every season and episode; the films are the most-watched releases since 2018, with the newest in the Cinema Movies shelf. All were chosen from TMDB and checked by hand. The 2020 page also listed reality competitions, talk shows and daily soaps; Vidcloud focuses on scripted series and films for a general audience and leaves those formats to other places.
A short history of Vidcloud
The Vidcloud name has been used by several services, including video hosts. The one this site follows is the catalogue at vidcloud9.com, whose archived March 2020 home page, "Vidcloud - Watch movie and tvshow anywhere", showed the design kept here: the white header with its giant search field, the slate menu, the red play-circle headings, the grid of recently added episodes and the dark widget footer. An earlier vidcloud.to address from 2018 survives only as a parked page. Vidcloud today keeps the 2020 look and sends every title to the official services, in HD, with subtitles, on every screen.
A first visit
On a first visit, scan the Recently Added Episodes grid for a show you follow, and open its season page to read the latest episode's summary. Then browse Cinema Movies for something new, press Watch now on a title to see where it streams in your country, add a few series to My List, and pin Vidcloud to your home screen. From then on, one glance at the home page each week shows what is new.
The TV Series list at a glance
The TV Series list holds eighty-eight shows, from network procedurals to streaming dramas, American and British, and every one of them comes with its full run of seasons and episodes, nearly ten thousand dated episodes in all. About sixty have finished their stories and about twenty are still returning with new seasons. The TV series guide sorts them into crime and police, prestige drama and British favourites, a good starting point for anyone new to the list.
The Chicago shows in order
The three Chicago series form one of the largest connected worlds on television. Chicago Fire came first, in 2012, followed by Chicago P.D. in 2014 and Chicago Med in 2015, and the three regularly cross over, with a story that begins in one series and ends in another. The season pages list air dates for every episode, so watching a crossover in order is simply a matter of following the dates across the three shows. FBI, from the same producer, follows the same rhythm of big cases and close-knit teams in New York.
The Arrowverse in order
The Arrowverse grew from Arrow in 2012 into a whole family of DC series. The Flash followed in 2014, Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow in 2015 and 2016, and Superman & Lois closed the era. Each year the shows joined for a crossover event, the largest of which, Crisis on Infinite Earths, spans every show that was airing in 2019. Following the air dates on the season pages keeps the story straight, and marking each episode in My List helps when juggling several shows at once.
Star Wars and Middle-earth on television
Two of cinema's biggest fantasy worlds continue on the TV Series list. Star Wars: The Clone Wars fills in the years between the prequel films with seven seasons of animated adventure, and The Mandalorian follows a bounty hunter protecting a small, mysterious child, in a live-action series that revived the franchise on television. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power travels back to Middle-earth's Second Age, telling how the rings of power were forged. All three are available in 4K on their service.
The Walking Dead universe
The Walking Dead ran for eleven seasons, following Rick Grimes and a changing group of survivors through a world overrun by the dead, and it became one of the most-watched series of its decade. Fear the Walking Dead began as a prequel set in Los Angeles in the first days of the outbreak and grew into its own eight-season saga, eventually crossing paths with characters from the original. Both are complete, with every episode listed, and the season pages make it easy to follow the crossover.
Superhero films
The Movies list has a strong superhero shelf. Marvel runs from Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame to Spider-Man: Far From Home, Black Widow, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, The Fantastic 4: First Steps and Spider-Man: Brand New Day. DC answers with The Suicide Squad, The Batman, Black Adam and Superman, and Sony adds Kraven the Hunter. The animated Spider-Verse films complete the list.
Family films
The Family and animation category holds some of the biggest films of recent years. Zootopia 2 reunites Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, Moana 2 sends Moana back across the ocean, and Inside Out 2 adds new emotions to Riley's mind. Mufasa: The Lion King tells the young Mufasa's story, Despicable Me 4 brings back Gru and the Minions, and Toy Story 4 and Frozen II continue much-loved stories. The Wild Robot follows a robot who raises a gosling, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a dashing fairy-tale adventure, and The Super Mario Bros. Movie and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie bring the game to life.
Horror and thriller
The Horror and thriller category covers everything from creeping dread to wild spectacle. Weapons opens with a whole class of children vanishing on the same night, Sinners mixes vampire horror with the blues of 1930s Mississippi, and 28 Years Later returns to Britain decades after the rage virus. Backrooms and Lee Cronin's The Mummy brought fresh scares in 2026, Fall keeps its heroines stranded on a radio mast, and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City returns to the game's origins.
A week with Vidcloud
Here is one way to spend a week with Vidcloud. On Monday, catch the newest episode of Slow Horses. On Tuesday, start The Pitt. On Wednesday, watch Project Hail Mary. On Thursday, follow a Chicago crossover across Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.. On Friday, invite friends for Superman. On Saturday, begin The Expanse, and on Sunday, relax with the family and Zootopia 2. Add each title to My List and mark the episodes as you go.
Reading the scores
Every page shows a TMDB score out of ten and the number of ratings behind it. A high score with thousands of ratings, like Breaking Bad or Avengers: Endgame, is a safe bet for almost anyone, while a new release starts with fewer ratings and its score settles over the first weeks. Series scores average the whole run, so a show with a slow first season can still score highly overall. Use the score as a friendly signpost, then read the story and trust your own taste.
Watching from abroad
Series often stream on different services in different countries, and sometimes at different times. A show that is on one service in the United States can be on another in Britain and a third in Australia. That is why Vidcloud asks for your country before sending you to JustWatch: the Watch now panel always reflects where you are. If you travel, change the country in the panel to see the local options.
Sharing a title
Every Vidcloud page has a clean, stable address, so sharing a series or film is as simple as copying the link and sending it on. The link opens the same page, with its poster, story and Watch now button, and your friend can choose their own country to see where it streams for them. Season pages can be shared too, which is handy for pointing someone to a particular episode.
Worth watching again
Some series and films reward a second viewing. Breaking Bad reads differently once you know where Walter White ends up, Fringe and Person of Interest plant clues seasons in advance, and Knives Out plays fair with every detail of its mystery. Everything Everywhere All at Once gains depth once you know where it is heading, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hides new details in almost every frame.
Network television and streaming
The catalogue mixes two traditions of television. Network series, the procedurals and family dramas from American broadcasters such as NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox, run twenty episodes or more a season, air weekly from autumn to spring, and often continue for a decade: Chicago Fire, Blue Bloods, NCIS: Los Angeles, Hawaii Five-0 and Modern Family are classic examples. Streaming and cable series, such as Slow Horses, The Pitt, Silo and The Crown, usually have shorter seasons of six to fifteen episodes, with longer gaps between them. Knowing which kind of show you are starting helps plan the viewing: a network series is a long companion, a streaming series a concentrated story.
British viewing
British viewers have a particularly rich choice, because the public broadcasters stream a great deal for free. BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Channel 4 carry many series from Britain and abroad, alongside Sky, Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Apple TV. Some of the American network series on Vidcloud stream in Britain on Sky or on Disney+ rather than on the services that carry them in the United States, which is exactly the kind of difference the Watch now panel resolves once you choose the United Kingdom.
Series for younger viewers
For younger viewers, the animated series are a natural start: Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Regular Show are imaginative, funny and full of heart, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Young Justice add adventure for older children. Among live-action series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Young Sheldon and Glee are popular family choices, and teenagers often discover Stranger Things and Outer Banks with their friends. Check the certificate on each streaming service before pressing play.
Slower connections
Vidcloud is designed to be light: posters are compressed, pages load quickly, and the home page puts the latest episodes first. On the streaming services, a lower quality setting keeps playback smooth on mobile data, and downloading episodes over Wi-Fi is a good idea before a journey. The quality guide explains the settings.
Cinema at home
Cinema releases now reach streaming faster than ever, often within a few months, and a few small touches make them feel at home in the living room. Dim the lights, switch the television to its film or filmmaker picture mode, and turn off motion smoothing so the image keeps its natural look. A soundbar or good headphones make a real difference for films with big soundtracks, such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, F1 or Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. For long films such as Killers of the Flower Moon or Oppenheimer, a short interval halfway through keeps everyone comfortable, just as cinemas used to offer.
Latest arrivals
The home page refreshes as new episodes air and new films arrive, so returning visitors can see at a glance what has changed. The Recently Added Episodes grid follows the returning series week by week, Cinema Movies follows the newest films, and the Returning series page lists every show with new seasons on the way.
Watching together
Many series are best shared. A weekly show like The Pitt or Slow Horses gives friends something to discuss every few days, a family can agree on a film from the Family and animation shelf in a minute, and couples can follow a long series together using one shared My List, exported from one device and imported on the other. Most streaming apps also offer separate profiles, so each person keeps their own place.
